Highly automated driving often relies on precise self localization. In modern vehicles multiple data sources for localization are available, like GNSS, IMU, wheel-encoders, etc. Based on the validity of the sources the data must be fused in order to provide a sophisticated measurement. The main goal of this project is to evaluate and develop such a module for an autonomous tram. Thereby, domain specific boundary conditions like the vehicle being track-bound and the a priori known possible driveways should be utilized for better localization.
