LAE / WAE Languages

Beitrag von NeinDochOh! » 18. Feb 2019 19:41

I have a question regarding the LAE and WAE Languages:

Both terms are used on the slides for describing (seemingly?) the same: the AE language, extended with let statements.

Is there a distinction between LAE and WAE or are the naming inconsistencies leftovers from a name change from WAE to LAE (which I suspect, as there are no *WAE language interpreters in the interpreter folder)?

That's what Prof. Salvaneschi said in one of the first lectures

It's just a naming inconsistency. W once stood for 'with' which was just the same as 'let'.
