Dear Sir,

For the chapter about Futures, Actors and Streams, please let us know if we need to study Scala. And if questions in exams will be based on Java or Scala?

Best regards,
Parvez

In addition to above question, As in general for the exam, how much in-depth knowledge of Java is required. Will the programming question will be basic question or requires good knowledge of Java programming like synchronization, mutex, collections e.t.c

We expect that you understand the (Scala) code that has been presented during the lecture.
The exam may require to understand simple Scala code based on what has been presented in the lecture.
We may ask you to write minimal code snippets about the topics presented during the lecture.
You can expect something at a level such that the difference between Scala and Java does not really matter.

We assume that you know Java and can program with it.

There won't be "basic questions" on Java because this si not the subject of the course.
The topics that has been explained during the lecture (e.g., synchronization) are of course included.
