Ass.2: Omitting labels/brackets

Beitrag von LordHoto » 6. Mai 2012 03:13

Hi,

I have a question about the following sentence in the assignment:
The user can either explicitly specify labels using the notation "\([...]@\pi\)" for "\([...]^{\pi}\)" or he/she may omit the labels as well as the enclosing brackets.
This makes me wonder whether the following is a valid omission of the label:

Code: Alles auswählen

[skip]@
Or does the user also need to omit the "@" when he omits the label? I.e. is only

Code: Alles auswählen

[skip]
a valid statement when (only) the label is omitted?

The way I understand it, the omission would result in only "skip" without any brackets.

Right, the user has the choice between "[...]@PI" and just "...".
