Coursera: Functional Scala programming

Beitrag von skidr0w »

Hello everyone,

There is a free online lecture on functional programming in Scala on Coursera taught by Martin Odersky, the inventor of scala. The course started a few weeks ago, but you can still subscribe to it and get access to the training materials, which include videos, assignments and tutorials. Especially useful is assignment 2 and 3 of the lecture, which are very similar to SEDC homework no. 1. You can find many tips and clues how to implement the exercises in the discussion forum.

A warm recommendation - I did this course last semester, and it really is very good :)

And since someone broke this news I would love to see some people gathering around doing the coursera exercises together, there is a lot to talk about in implementations and I for one need that!
