Re: Question on MouseReleasedE

Thanks for your reply, I found a way to use the combinators in a quite simple way, as you said. The thought my question was pointing to, cam from the "Auto-complete"-fuction of eclipse which offered me a count Singnal for the MouseReleseEvent. But reading the Refrence Manual it became obvious that t...

Question on MouseReleasedE

Hi,

does anyone why MouseReleasedE never changes it's count Signal ? I thought I could use this to distinguish between even and odd clicks, but actally the count never changes. Does anyone know if it's possible to get it counting or is it concepually not working ?

Thanks in advance DOminic

One last question about Ex6

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the two additional Animations we should implement. Is the idea to implement new Paths like (10 sine 100) meaning to generate as sine-path or should we still use the paths like 10->>100 and implement new Animations like AnimationSine extends Animation ? I'm no...

Re: Signal and functions

Hi, ah thanks, I was just wondering, as I feel my code shoul work now. But another two questions arose to me. First, the exercisesheet tels "Your Animation class .. it's method should create new animation objects" this only applys for the animate-method of the actual object and not to the class meth...

Re: Signal and functions

Hi,

okay I got it to work, was a simple but silly failure in my Time implementation.

But now I have another quesetion: The animation which should be seen if everthing went fine, is it a ball "moving" or is it a ball "drawing a line" ?
Does anyone got to that point ?

Signal and functions

Hi everyone, I have a big problem concerning signal generation with functions in it's argument. To solve the def start(): Signal[Double] functionality, I tried to do the following: Signal[Double]{ f.apply( (Clock.time() - Time(startTime.nanos)) / Time(intervalLength.nanos) )} but this doesn't work, ...

Re: Short question on Clock

Hi everyone,

okay I resolved it, the clock runns automatically from within the "Mainframe", but I recognized that it takes some time after startup until it runs, thus resulting in some initialisation problems.

Short question on Clock

Hi everybody,

do I have to start the given Clock in any way or is this done sowhere within the framework? And if I have to start it, how can this be done. Sorry for that perhaps silly question, but I am not able to figure it out on my own at the moment,

so thanks in advance DOminic

Re: Download Exercise 5 sheet here

Hi, will you give us any kind of code framework, for this exercise, as the sheet tells, "As a rst step, make yourself familiar with the code.". Or do we have to implement ist from scratch, which would be not the problem, but unfortunate, if I start coding from scratch now and tomorrow some code fram...

Re: Ex03 Task1: Liskov Principle and precise parameters

Okay,

maybe I should refine my problem. The question/problem is, if I declare [B >:A]contains(element: B), I can use contains with an instantiation of Object, I'm still not sure if this should be allowed.

Re: Ex03 Task1: Liskov Principle and precise parameters

Hi, thats the point ! If I declare Tuple[+A] (covariant) then all methods and their parameters need to be covariant. But the behaviour which is asked by the Task, is as I see this covariant in adding and contravariant in searching (containing). So I'm confused about the formulation of the Task as it...

Re: Ex03 Task1: Liskov Principle and precise parameters

Hi, first thanks for the reply. After reading it thoroughly I still have one problem. My method contains has to be covariant, I got that point now. But the parameter of contains should be contravariant. Thus leading to a signature like: contains[B >: A](element: A). But this leads to an compiler err...

Ex03 Task1: Liskov Principle and precise parameters

Hi everybody, I still have some difficulties to fully understand what the given task asks me to do. As far as I understood the Liskov priciple, are there two mayor hints what I should do with my methods concerning their variance. First, the return parameters of the subclases should be covariant. Sec...

Hi,

thanks a lot, thats what I did (the default value and change via public variables), but was not quite sure about my "design" decision.
So thanks a lot for the fast reply.
